New Masters Degree Course

New Masters degree course at the Arts University College at Bournemouth

This is a taught MA based upon individuals’ project proposals. MA
students in a range of arts oriented disciplines (fine art, animation,
interactive media, costume, photography, graphic design, illustration)
share seminars together.

MA in CONTEMPORARY PERFORMANCE

MA in Contemporary Performance offers students the opportunity to
focus on conceptual, theoretical, and kinesthetic approaches to
contemporary live and mediated performance practice.  In particular,
we recognise and encourage inquiry in areas that relate to ‘site
specific’, ‘site sympathetic’, live art, digital, post-text, and
radical theatre practice. Exploring a broad range of methodologies,
and culminating in the creation of a body of work/performance outcome,
the focus is on the strengthening of independent theatre-making skills
as well as encouraging students to engage in cross disciplinary
collaborations. Considerations of audience and space will be central
to the individual contextualisation of theory and praxis.

Full-time Study – 1 year (October 2010 – September 2011)

Part-time Study - 2 years (October 2010 – September 2012)
